Where we work around the Gold Coast
Each suburb page covers what we see most there and how we price it.
- Demolition in Surfers Paradise, Broadbeach and Main BeachThe strip from Main Beach through Surfers Paradise to Broadbeach changes constantly. Ageing walk-up unit blocks and old beach houses keep giving way to new towers, while the buildings that stay are refurbished floor by floor. Demolition here is mostly about access, neighbours and building rules, and a contractor who knows the area will plan for all three.
- Demolition in Southport, Labrador and AshmoreSouthport is the Gold Coast's established city centre, and the suburbs around it hold some of the oldest housing and commercial stock in the city. Between the Southport CBD, the Broadwater at Labrador, and the post-war streets of Ashmore, there is a steady mix of house removals, unit site clearances and commercial jobs.
- Demolition in Burleigh Heads, Palm Beach and CurrumbinThe southern beaches have become some of the most sought-after land on the coast, and the small fibro and timber houses that once defined them are disappearing fast. In Burleigh Heads, Miami, Palm Beach, Currumbin and Tugun, plenty of owners are buying for the block and building new, often with a tight lot and a neighbour very close by.
- Demolition in Robina, Varsity Lakes and MudgeerabaRobina and its neighbours are younger than the coastal strip, so full-house demolition is less common than you might expect. What the area has instead is plenty of pool removals, office and retail strip outs, driveway work and acreage clean-ups, along with a growing number of 1980s homes being knocked down in the older estates.
- Demolition in Nerang, Carrara and the HinterlandWest of the motorway the Gold Coast feels like a different place. Nerang and Carrara mix older homes, light industry and floodplain, and beyond them the land climbs into acreage around Advancetown, Gilston and the hinterland valleys. Jobs here tend to be bigger on space and trickier on access.
- Demolition in Runaway Bay, Paradise Point and Hope IslandWaterfront land on the northern Broadwater is worth rebuilding on. In Runaway Bay, Biggera Waters, Paradise Point, Hollywell and Hope Island, many first-generation canal homes are now being replaced, and demolition has to respect what makes these blocks valuable in the first place: the water frontage and the walls holding it there.
- Demolition in Coomera, Helensvale and OrmeauThe northern corridor is the fastest changing part of the city. Land around Coomera, Pimpama and Ormeau that was once cane fields and acreage is steadily becoming estates, so a lot of the demolition here involves old rural houses and sheds making way for new development, along with industrial work along the motorway.
